Hi, I'm Karen!

Welcome to my collection of thoughts where I share a mix of career & tech insights, creative pursuits, and some life rambles.

I work as the Chief of Staff and Business Strategy at WindBorne Systems, a weather balloon startup in Silicon Valley on a mission to mitigate the most dangerous effects of climate change: extreme weather and weather uncertainty.

Before weather balloons, I built a career exploring strategy and impact. I started at Bain where I sharpened my problem-solving (and slide-making) skills, explored tech-driven philanthropy at Google.org, stepped into the world of venture capital at DBL Partners, and made the (un)questionable choice of trading two years and a small fortune for my MBA at Yale.

Here's what you can expect: dry humour, British spelling (as a Canadian), and hopefully a helpful framework or two on navigating life.
